I'm so obsessed with Holgas that we even had one at each of the tables at my wedding

I got my first Holga (120CFN, with the dodgy aperture switch that did nothing) in the Spring of 2008, and took it straight off to Glastonbury Festival, and took 4 rolls of film, sent them off to get processed as soon as I got back, waited a couple of days to get back my prints, when I got them back.. there was one good shot.

I was addicted, that one shot was brilliant, and even the ones that didn't turn out right were an amazing swirling mix of vivid crazy colours.

Quickly my house became a two, three, four Holga house. I bought my Wife a Lomography CMY Edition, I got myself a glass lensed GCFN so I could compare the difference, and a 120N so I could use an external flash, then a 135 so I could try out some expired film I'd been using with my LC-A... etc etc..

One thing I began to notice was getting hold of Holgas in the UK can be difficult and expensive. The are some great suppliers on mainland Europe but with the strength of the Euro these became prohibitively expensive. The other options is ordering them directly from China and Hong Kong, then having to wait weeks for them to turn up. I also got stung badly a couple of times with import tax (anything imported from outside the EU over £18 you are meant to pay VAT and import tax on)... and even had one go missing completely.

It was then when i decided to contact the manufacturers of the Holga camera directly and ask them about the possibility of importing some cameras into the UK to help out other people get their hands on these amazing cameras cheaply. and that's how Holgarama started.
